I am originally from Wales in Great Britain but have lived in Frankfurt am Main since 1977. As a result, I can offer analysis both in English and in the German language.
I started my training with the C. G. Jung Institute in Zürich in 2000 and qualified in Psychoanalysis according to C.G. Jung in February 2008. Subsequently, I commenced a doctorate in psychoanalytical studies at Essex University in England which I completed in 2014. Following additional training, I was accredited as teaching analyst and supervisor at the C. G. Jung Institute in Zürich. At the Institute, I conduct seminars, act as an examiner, and give lectures. My main publications in the English language were published by Routledge, London and New York. These include Laws of Inheritance, A post Jungian study of twins and the relationship between the first and the other(s), 2016; and as co-editor, Jungian Perspectives on Rebirth and Renewal: Phoenix Rising, 2017, and a monograph Taboo, Personal and Collective Representations, Origin within Cultural Complexes, Routledge, 2019. Currently, I am co-chair of the International Association for Jungian Studies, an academic organisation, which provides a forum for study and discussion of Jungian topics.
Because of my own experience as expatriate, I’m interested in topics such as cultural complexes, uprooting, homesickness, and crossing of cultural borders. My work focuses on the handling of unconscious and conscious identity conflicts and how to feel at home with hope in a culture which is not your own. Since Frankfurt has many international inhabitants, this experience is helpful for persons who come here from different cultures.
